Description

The George Hotel is a public house located on the east side of Wickham Market High Street. It was originally built as a house in the early 18th century. The building features a timber frame with plastered walls and a plain tiled roof. It has two storeys and a five-window range, although one of the windows is blocked. The windows are sashes set in flush frames, but the glazing bars have been removed. There is a late 19th-century bar entrance that includes a fixed light window and panels below, along with two boarded entrance doors. The building also has a fascia and cornice, and a central brick chimney stack.
