Description

This is a house, dating to the 17th century, with a timber-framed core that was entirely encased in 18th-century red brick. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The house is two storeys high, with a seven-window front. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and louvred shutters, all set in flush frames. Five windows are on the ground floor, matching the style of the upper floor. Doorways have been bricked up. A modern panelled door is set within the original pilastered frame of the north gable entrance, and it features a semi-circular fanlight, cornice, and a small sidelight with glazing bars. A brick plat band runs horizontally and there are modillion eaves. The gable ends have moulded brick coping. There are two brick stacks on the ridge of the roof.
