Description

Nos 74 and 76 on High Street in Wickham Market is a house that is now partly residential and partly a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and is built of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-window range with sash windows in flush frames that include glazing bars. There are gauged flat brick arches above the windows. On the ground floor, to the right, there is a shop window with glazing bars and a panelled and glazed door. The building has two dormers with casement windows.

A central entrance portico in-antis is supported by pilasters and features an entablature and pediment. The entrance includes a six-panel raised and fielded door with matching linings. A brick plat band runs along the building, and there is a dentil course at the eaves. A moulded brick stack is located on the north gable.
