Mells Hill Farmhouse

Mells Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an L-shaped plan, dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century for the main range, while the west wing is probably from the 18th century. The building underwent significant modernization between 1982 and 1983. It is constructed of timber framing and plaster, with some brick casing. The west wing features a painted brick gable end, and the roof is covered with wooden shingles, except for the north slope of the west wing, which is tiled with plain tiles. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic in the main range. It includes various casement windows, mostly from the mid-20th century. The main range has a four-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed, located within a lean-to extension. There is also one dormer under a catslide roof and an internal stack. The west wing has an original parapet gable end with corbelled eaves and a gable end stack.
