Description

This barn, located 60 meters north-north-west of Westwood Lodge, dates from the early to mid-17th century and has a later extension. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a brick gable end on the north side and a corrugated iron roof. Originally, the barn had five bays and a central cart entrance, but it has been extended to the south by an additional four bays. The roof features an upper row of clasped purlins and a lower row of butt purlins, while most of the arched braces have been replaced with bolted-on knees.
