Description

This 18th-century house and shop occupies a corner location on Market Hill, where it meets Station Road. The two-storey building, with an additional attic level featuring three hipped dormers, also has cellars. The front is of brick, initially plastered and then panelled. It is topped by a parapet. Five windows are arranged across the front, each a flush frame sash with thick bars. The ground floor functions as a shop, distinguished by a continuous wood fascia and cornice. The roof is tiled. The building is included in the listing for its group value alongside other buildings on Market Hill’s south side.
