Description
Nos 43 and 44 on Market Hill are 18th to 19th century buildings that stand three stories tall. They are constructed of stucco that is lined and painted. The second floor features two two-light windows, while the first floor has a third-light window, all of which are recessed sashes with pilasters framing the wooden frames, slightly inset. The buildings have an eaves cornice supported by coupled brackets and a slate roof. The first floor has an enriched cornice, which may indicate a former eaves level. The ground floor is occupied by shops with wooden display cases. Nos 40 to 44 form a cohesive group.
