Description

This is an 18th-century shop situated on the north side of Hingham Market Place. The building is constructed of brick with a stuccoed front. It has a steeply pitched tarred slate roof with shaped gable ends and overhanging eaves supported by paired brackets. The building is two storeys high with an attic space. The first floor has four sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor incorporates a large Victorian shop on the right side with a fascia, and a smaller mid-19th century shop window on the left with pilasters and a fascia. A pilastered doorway with a cornice and glazed door is located off-centre. Two small dormers, each with a cambered head and glazing bars, feature in the roof.
