Description
Nos. 3 and 5 Bond Street are early 19th-century houses located in Hingham. No. 3 features painted brickwork, a slate roof with gable ends, and brick dentil eaves. It has two storeys, with the back facing the road and no first-floor windows. The ground floor includes a 20th-century three-light casement window and a small early 20th-century shop with consoles and a fascia. The garden front, which faces east, has modern casements and a modern glazed door. No. 5, which adjoins No. 3, also dates from the early 19th century and is built of painted brick with a low-pitched pantile roof and gabled ends, along with brick dentil eaves. This house has two storeys and two windows with sashes that feature glazing bars. The central entrance is a 20th-century glazed and panelled door topped with a rectangular fanlight.
