Description
Church House, Mill Ford House, and West Lynn are a range of early 19th century houses located on Hall Street in Long Melford. They are fronted in white brick and stand two stories tall, featuring a six-window arrangement that is organized in a pattern of three, two, and one, separated by pilasters. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in plain reveals, and topped with stucco cornice lintels supported by stub brackets. Church House is distinguished by a notable Greek Doric doorcase that includes fluted half columns, a triglyph frieze, and a cornice. The other houses in the range have moulded architraves, friezes, and cornices. The roofs are hipped and covered with slate, featuring wide overhanging eaves. At the rear, there is a large square chimney stack.
