Description
Church House and the house immediately to the west are two houses that have been converted into offices, dating from around 1840. They are constructed from local stone, which is rendered on the front and return elevation and painted in a light color. Church House features a clay double Roman tile roof, while the adjacent house has a hipped pantiled roof and brick chimney stacks.
Both buildings are two storeys high and have three bays on the north elevation, with Church House occupying the first bay. Notable architectural details include a plinth, a band course, and pilasters on Church House. The windows are 12-pane sash windows, with those on Church House set in raised surrounds. There are semi-circular arched doorways with moulded surrounds, featuring four-panelled doors and simple radial glazed fanlights, located to the left of bay 1 and between bays 2 and 3. The west side has a matching two-bay return.
The buildings are situated on a corner wedge site in a prominent position, contributing to a group with significant streetscape value. The interiors have not been seen.
