Cragpit Farmhouse

House. C16 or earlier with later alterations. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roof. Off centre left and left external red brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys. 3 window range of C20 casements. C19 gabled, timber-panelled porch on dwarf brick walls opposite chimney stack. Although most of the frame is covered by C18-C20 decoration the present owner has recently uncovered the 2 ground floor ceilings exposing heavy stop chamfered bridging joists and flat section ceiling beams. The chimney stack is large but blocked, with a C18/C19 marble fireplace in one room.
