Description
Brookhead Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions, including restorations from the 20th century. The structure is timber framed and covered with parget plaster, topped with red plain tiled roofs. It features two red brick chimney stacks.
The east face of the house is two storeys high, while the west range is one storey with attics, added in the 20th century. The roof on the east face is hipped and has an outshot to the right, with a 20th-century gabled dormer. On the first floor to the right, there are two casement windows, and on the ground floor, there are four windows, mainly consisting of 20th-century casements, along with one small paned horizontal sliding sash. A central 20th-century gabled porch leads to a half-glazed door.
The right return features a gabled crosswing and a right range with an external chimney stack. This side has a window arrangement of two pairs of 20th-century casements. There is also a centrally located vertically boarded door to the crosswing.
