Description
Keeper's Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on Hazeleigh Hall Lane. It features a timber frame with plastered walls and a weatherboarded dado, topped with a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The cottage has three bays facing southwest, with a central chimney stack and an original wing at the back of the left bay. There is a late 19th-century lean-to extension at the rear right angle, which has a corrugated iron roof and a chimney stack against the rear wall of the original building. The cottage is a single storey and has two original casement windows, each with two V-headed lights. The front of the cottage includes a plain boarded door set within a gabled porch, with similar windows on the sides. Chevron pargetting is present on the rear walls, including within the rear extension. The original wood-burning hearths have been reduced for 20th-century grates, and there is a wash boiler located in the rear extension.
