Description

Willow Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage that features a timber frame, which is plastered and weatherboarded, topped with a thatched roof. The building is oriented approximately north-south with an eastern aspect and has a central chimney stack. At the southern end, there is a single-storey lean-to extension that has a roof made of 19th-century red clay Roman tiles. There is also a lean-to extension at the rear, which is roofed with 20th-century corrugated tiles. The cottage has two storeys. On the eastern elevation, the ground floor includes three 19th or 20th-century casement windows and a gabled porch that is roofed with machine-made red clay tiles. The first floor features two 19th or 20th-century casement windows. The dado is weatherboarded, and the internal framing is exposed, showcasing primary straight bracing.
