Description
Little Elm Cottage is a house from the early 19th century that was extended in the 20th century. It has a timber frame, mostly covered in plaster with some areas of weatherboarding, and is topped with machine-made red clay tiles. The building consists of two parallel sections that run approximately northwest to southeast, with the main entrance facing northeast. There is an axial chimney stack in the northeast section and another chimney stack at the northwest end of the rear section. A single-storey flat-roofed extension was added to the southwest in the 20th century. The cottage is two storeys high and features a plain boarded door with a simple doorcase that has fluted jambs and a shallow hood, dating from the early 19th century. There are two 20th-century casement windows on each floor.
