Description
The Walk is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber frame with plaster and has red plain tiled roofs. The building consists of two sections: the southern section has a large chimney stack that is positioned forward of the ridge and includes moulded bands and capping, while the northern section has an external right offset chimney stack, both made of early red bricks. The northern range is one storey with attics and has a gabled dormer on the rear side, while the southern range is two storeys and jetties out at the rear. There is also a single storey lean-to on the left return.
On the east-facing road side, there is a window arrangement of two small paned horizontal sliding sashes above one larger sash. The rear side features a window arrangement of three sets of two-light casements, mainly from the 19th or 20th century, with glazing bars or horizontal sliding sashes. The northern range has a part glazed door from the 20th century. The jetty is supported by curved brackets.
