Description

Butlers Cottage is a house with several periods of construction, dating back to the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. The house is timber-framed and plastered, with 20th-century pargetting applied to the front. It features a long wall jetty supported by three brackets, and an extension to the left. The roof is covered in red plain tiles. The two-storey facade has a five-window range of small-paned casement windows. A 20th-century panelled door with a small window is located to the left of the extension, with another 20th-century half-glazed door on the right return wall. A square red brick chimney stack stands to the right, and an external chimney stack with an octagonal shape, also made of red brick, is situated to the left.
