Description
Thorrington Hall is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. The building features a timber-framed and plastered rear, with 19th and 20th century red brick on the ground floor and timber and plaster on the first floor. It has a hipped roof covered with red plain tiles. There are panelled red brick chimney stacks, with one on the left and another off centre, and a third stack at the rear right. The house has north and south rear wings with later extensions and is two storeys tall. The front has a four-window range of 19th and 20th century vari-light transomed casements, with stained glass in the fanlights, including two hipped bays on the ground floor. There is a part-glazed gabled porch with stained glass and a six-panelled door.
