Description
Whitehouse Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 16th century or earlier, with later alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and rough render, featuring weatherboarded returns and a red plain tiled roof. The house has a large red brick chimney stack located off centre to the left, with attached diagonal shafts. To the right, there is a crosswing that is jettied, supported by curved brackets on the right return. The jettied left return gable has a moulded bressumer. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range of vertically sliding sashes with horns. There is a six-panelled door off centre to the right, which has a moulded surround and is sheltered by a 20th-century open gabled porch.
