Description

This is a cottage, likely dating back to the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is timber-framed and has plastered walls. The roof is a red plain tiled gambrel shape. A central chimney stack is built of red brick. The cottage is one storey high with attics, and includes a rear wing and a 20th-century single-storey flat-roofed extension to the rear right. There are two gabled dormers in the roof. The windows are 20th-century, with three small panes of glass, and a 20th-century door is located on the left return. Inside, features include a large central chimney stack, chamfered bridging joists, flat section ceiling joists, and heavy wall studs with some through bracing. The cottage has group value context.
