Description

The Round House is a lodge built in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame, is rendered, and has a slate roof. The building is octagonal in shape and consists of two storeys, with single-storey wings on both the left and right sides, as well as additional wings at the rear. At the center, there is a rendered octagonal brick chimney stack. The entrance has a pedimented porch supported by timber columns, leading to a semicircular-headed six-panel door, with the upper two panels being blind. On the left and right sides of the door, there are timber casement windows with pointed heads and Y mullions. Similar windows can be found on the first floor, above the door and on either side, as well as in the single-storey wings.
