Description
The Lodge is a lodge building, formerly associated with Westbury House, dating from the early 19th century. It features colourwashed render and a half hipped slate roof with wide eaves and bargeboard, topped by a tall 20th-century brick chimney. The building has a rectangular plan and is designed in a Gothick style. It includes pointed head windows, with one located at the center of the first floor and two on the slightly bowed ground floor, all fitted with 4-pane casements. The central entrance has a pointed head door opening with a plank door, and is adorned with a slated pent-roofed verandah supported by slender iron columns, which is divided into three sections. There are short sections of rubble wall on either side of the entrance, each featuring door openings with plank doors.
