Description

Newlyn is a house built in the early 19th century. It features random rubble construction with coped verges and a slate roof, complemented by end brick stacks. The front of the house is symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays, showcasing virtually flush 12-pane sash windows with exposed sash boxes and wooden lintels. The central door opening has a wooden lintel and a six-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed. To the left, there is a one-and-a-half storey outshut that has a 20th-century double Roman concrete tile roof. The ground floor of the outshut includes a broad segmental headed opening with rubbed brick voussoirs and a freestone key, leading to paired plank doors.
