Description

Fern Cottage is a late 19th-century cottage located on the north side of the road. It is built of red brick with colourwashed gault brick dressings. The cottage is two storeys high and two bays wide, featuring arched windows with two and three lights, each with a rectangular hood mould above. A doorway has a four-centred arch and a rectangular hood-mould; the original boarded door retains moulded cover-strips. The west gable has a crow-stepped design. 20th-century extensions have been added to the rear. The building is included on the heritage list solely for its group value in relation to No. 124.
