Description

Red Lion Cottage is a former public house dating from the 17th century, with a 19th-century extension. It is built of colourwashed brick and features a pantiled roof. The building has a short side extension to the original 17th-century house, which includes an off-centre axial stack. It stands two storeys high and has 19th-century casement windows with three or four lights and horizontal glazing bars. The 17th-century section has been refaced with brick, and the building is adorned with shaped eaves sprockets and decorative gault brick chimneys.
