Description

No. 132 on Norwich Road is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It features a rendered and colourwashed timber-frame construction with a roof made of black and red pantiles. The building has a two-storey facade and a gabled porch located to the right of the center. The windows are primarily 20th-century casements, with one horned sash. The roof is gabled, and there is a ridge stack positioned to the left of the center (east) and an internal gable-end stack on the west side. The south front displays a mix of 20th-century casements and doors, with a roof that bellies on this side.

To the east, there is a brick cross wing from the 18th century, which is three storeys high, gabled, and has an internal gable-end stack facing south. Inside, the west ground-floor room is fitted with early 18th-century panelling and cornice, featuring large-frame panelling with fielding and a chimneypiece in the west wall that has a shouldered and eared overmantel. This room has been subdivided. There is a closed string staircase with turned balusters and a ramped handrail. The roof includes two tiers of purlins, with the upper tier clasped into cut-back moulded principals, cambered collars, and curved windbracing on the lower tier. The 18th-century cross wing has a butt purlin roof with collars.
