Description

Barnham's Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse, with later additions, located in Browick. The building is constructed of brick and has pantiled roofs. It has a lobby-entrance plan, with its main facade facing northwest. The farmhouse is two storeys high and comprises three bays. The central entrance features a panelled door within a case adorned with fluted pilaster strips and a flat hood. The ground-floor windows are early 19th-century metal casements, each with three lights, set within segmental arches. A blind window is positioned centrally on the first floor. The gabled roof incorporates a sloping dormer to the right of the ridge stack. A cross wing extends to the west from the south end; this section is gabled, two storeys high, and exhibits tumbling. It was used for farm storage. The interior has not been inspected.
