Description
Trafford House is a mid-19th century house with a late 19th-century extension to the north. It is constructed of brick and features a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has one bay facing the street. On the ground floor, there is a horned tripartite sash window beneath a segmental gauged skewback arch. The first floor has a sash window with glazing bars but no horns, also under a gauged skewback arch. The house has a dentil eaves cornice and a hipped roof, with a stack located on the south roof slope. The north side of the house is adjacent to a two-storey flat-roofed extension, which is also made of brick, though its roof is not visible. This extension has one bay facing the street and a north return, featuring a tripartite sash window on the ground floor with horns and a gauged skewback arch, and one sash window with glazing bars above it. The return is illuminated by one sash window on each floor, both with glazing bars and gauged arches.
