Description
This building is a warehouse range located at the rear of 22 Cock Street in Wymondham. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone significant alterations since its original construction. The structure is a complex longitudinal range, with the western portion built of brick and standing two storeys high. Single storey extensions extend to the east, primarily constructed of tarred clay lump on brick and flint plinths, topped with pantile and slate roofs.
The western range has been converted into a dwelling and features three irregular bays. There is a 20th-century glazed door on the right side, accompanied by two late 20th-century casement windows to the left. Under the eaves, there are two 19th-century casement windows, and a 19th-century door is located on the left. The left half of this range was formerly a malthouse and still has its steep pyramid slate roof, while the rest of the building has a pantiled roof. Attached to the west gable is a sloping 20th-century extension.
The eastern ranges now serve as workshops, separated by double timber doors and featuring five sash or casement windows of various late 19th or 20th-century styles. The roofs of these sections are gabled.
