Description
Aldbrough House is a house built around 1830, constructed of grey brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. It has two storeys and a symmetrical elevation with three bays. The entrance features a two-panel glazed door set in a projecting porch, which is topped with a dentilled cornice and a ramped blocking course that has a segmental finial. On either side of the door are sash windows with glazing bars that project slightly forward and are topped with low pediments. There is a moulded band at the first floor level. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars and sills, which are set under cambered wedge lintels on the right and left. In the centre, there is a French window with margin-pane glazing, also under a wedge lintel. The house has rear wall stacks and a hipped roof.
