TG 10 SW HETHERSETT NORWICH ROAD (south side) 4/40 Milestone No 7 at TG 1385 0352

Milestone, late C18, for Norwich and Thetford Turnpike Trust; limestone. Wedge shaped, c.88 cm high with rounded cap, tapering from 11 to 25 cm. Recessed full width panels inscribed NORWICH / 7 / MILES and THETFORD / 22 / MILES. The road was turnpiked in 1767.
