Description

Milestone No. 3 against Pond Farmhouse is a limestone milestone dating from around 1770. It has a wedge shape with a 10-centimeter wide face at the front and a rounded cap, standing 0.5 meters high. The front is inscribed with "Norwich / 3 MILES" and "THETFORD / 26 MILES." The road where it is located was turnpiked in 1767.
