Description

17 The Close is a Grade II* listed building that was originally of unknown use and is now a house. It dates from the 18th century, with a 17th-century wing. The building features red brick that is rendered on the upper floors and has a pantile roof. It has an L-shaped plan, consisting of a three-storey block from the 18th century and a two-storey wing. The west facade of the 18th-century block has two bays, with a central panelled door and sash windows that have raised and moulded surrounds. The 17th-century wing includes one central sash window with glazing bars.
