Description
28 St Benedict's Street is a building dating from the early 17th century, which has been renovated in the 20th century. It was originally of unknown use but is now a shop with a flat above. The exterior is rendered, with a rendered timber frame at the first floor and a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and features a jetty at the first floor, which is mostly covered by a shopfront. There are two first floor windows and a 19th-century shopfront that includes panelled pilasters, reeded consoles, and a fascia. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars and a fascia cornice. There is an off-centre gable dormer with a casement window. At the rear, the building has two storeys and three first floor windows, along with an off-centre 20th-century door and a casement window to the right. There are also casement windows at the first floor.
