ST. BENEDICT'S STREET (south side) Nos. 18, 20 and 20A

GV II Former use unknown, now shop and workshop. Early to mid C16 and C18. Flint rubble, rendered brick and pantile roofs. Nos.18 and 20 - three storeys, three bays. C19 and C20 shopfronts to ground floor. Crude C18 jetty, sash windows and plain cornice. No. 20A:- two storeys. Off-centre C19 door. Irregular fenestration. The block has been widened westwards leaving the fine first floor moulded battened ceiling intact. It is set back from and is at right angles to the street line and is one variant on the siting of medieval buildings in Norwich.
