Description
Nos. 69 and 71 on Pottergate are houses dating from the early 16th century, which were heightened and extended to the rear in the 19th century and renovated in the 20th century. The ground floor is constructed of flint rubble, while the first floor features a timber frame that is rendered. The building has a pantile roof and stands three storeys tall, originally jettied at the first floor. There are four windows on the first floor and two central doors that have 20th-century pilastered surrounds. Sash windows are present throughout, set in a simply moulded surround, with 20th-century gables on the west and east sides. A fascia cornice completes the building's exterior.
