Description

This is a mid-19th century house, now divided into three separate residences at 2, 2A and 2B Mile End Road. The building is rendered, with a hipped slate roof and two rebuilt red brick chimneys. It is two storeys high and has five first-floor windows. A 20th-century glazed door is located to the right of centre, at number 2A. This door is topped by a plain overlight, and flanked by simple Doric hall columns supporting a small entablature and hood. The ground floor features two canted bay windows with full-height sashes alternating with 16-pane sash windows that each have keyblocks. Entry to number 2 is via the left bay, while number 2B has a separate entrance on the right side. A canted, rusticated bay window on the left side elevation has round-headed first-floor windows flanking a blind front.
