Description
No. 109 on Newmarket Road is a house from the mid-19th century that now serves as a surgery and residence. The building is rendered and features a hipped slate roof with four yellow brick chimneys. It has two storeys and three windows on the first floor. The entrance consists of a six-panelled door located in a slightly projecting central bay, topped with a pediment and a plain fanlight set in a round-headed recess with a rusticated surround. The windows are large-paned sashes with louvred shutters, and the central first-floor window is adorned with a simple hood supported by consoles. A moulded cornice runs below the parapet. There is a glazed extension on the left and a rendered single-storey extension on the right, with two storeys behind it.
