Description
4 Market Place is a two-storey building with a stucco-rendered front and a flint wall on the eastern side. The steep roof is covered with machine tiles and features a central cluster of four octagonal chimney shafts, along with a single shaft at the eastern end. The western side has a stepped gable.
The building has quoins at each corner and decorative banding between the ground and first floors. On the ground floor, there are three fixed windows, two of which are arched. The first floor has three multi-light sash windows, with two taller sash windows located to the right and on the west elevation. The first-floor windows on the main facade are adorned with pilasters that are topped with decorative scroll consoles and keystones.
To the right side of the building, there is a late 20th-century entrance and shopfront. 1 to 4 Market Place, which are consecutive, form a group.
