Description
Number 7 Market Place is an early 19th-century building featuring a mid-19th-century shop front with sheet glass on the ground floor. The shop front has a deep recess and includes pilasters and a dentil cornice visible behind an added name board. Above, there is a full-width display window on the first floor, flanked by pairs of slender iron fluted Ionic pilasters on panelled pedestals, and a central segmental cornice to the entablature above the sheet glass. The tops of the flank pilasters are visible at the second floor, which has two sash windows with glazing bars. The building is topped with a slate roof. Numbers 7 to 11 Market Place form a group.
