Description

Number 7 High Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick. It features a tiled roof and a parapet. The front facade includes two sash windows with intact glazing bars, as well as two curved shop windows, also with intact glazing bars. The doorcase is notable for its pilasters, which have capitals shaped like women's faces with hair styled in the form of Ionic volutes, and a moulded frieze decorated with swags and paterae at each end. The east side of the building is weatherboarded and has an ornamental bargeboard on its gable. Numbers 3 to 7 (odd) together form a group.
