Description

Elmstone House is a building on High Street, dating from the early 19th century. The front facade was altered in the early 19th century and is faced with buff mathematical tiles, topped by a parapet. It has three storeys, with three sash windows, the glazing bars of which are missing. The ground floor features a bay window and a modern shopfront, with a doorcase between them. The doorcase has thin columns, an open pediment, a semi-circular fanlight above the door, and a six-panel moulded door. Elmstone House is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of High Street, from number 10 to 44, which also includes the Church of St Mildred.
