Description

The Woolpack Hotel is a timber-framed building, likely dating from the 16th to 17th century, now with a front made of painted brick. It is L-shaped and located at the extreme north end of the west front, where some timber-framing is still visible, facing the churchyard. The building has two storeys, two windows, and a half-hipped gable that features a window on the second floor. The gable is covered with tiles. The windows are modern casements, and the doorway has a depressed arch. The Woolpack Hotel is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of High Street, ranging from Nos 10 to 44, which includes the Church of St Mildred.
