MARKET PLACE (south side) No 2

GV II EXTERIOR; the building is two storeys with an attic level under a steep pantiled roof. Its main elevation on the north is limewashed brick. Within the roof is a sash dormer with glazing bars and a flat roof. There are two sash windows at first floor level, also with glazing bars. On the ground floor there is a projecting wooden shop front with interior Doric columns at its entrance. The shopfront contains glazing with mullions and transoms and shallow arched heads with spandrel detailing. There is a separate domestic entrance to the left-hand side of the shopfront.

INTERIOR; the interior contains stop chamfered beams.

Nos 1 to 4 Market Place (consecutive) form a group along with No 2 Yarmouth Road.
