Description

No. 1 New Road is a 19th-century building with its southern elevation serving as the main façade. This façade features three flush frame sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, with the easternmost window being arched. At the ground floor, there are two doors, each with six fielded panels, set within Doric wood cases that include pilasters. The exterior wall also has three anchor plates.

Adjacent to the main structure is a later one-storey wing extension, which has a flush frame window and a slate, hipped roof. No. 1 New Road, The Cedars, and 9 New Road are part of a group of buildings.
