Description
Boots Chemist is an early to mid 19th century building located on Church Street. It features a stuccoed exterior and a black glazed pantile roof with gable ends, supported by paired brackets at the eaves. The building stands three storeys tall. On the second floor, there are two sash windows with glazing bars. The first floor has a large mid to late 19th century bay window with rounded corners, topped by an entablature with a moulded cornice. The ground floor has a Victorian shop front with pilasters and an entablature, although modern shop windows and a door have been inserted. This building is included for its group value with Nos 51, 51A, and 53.
