Description
The churchyard boundary wall surrounding the Church of St Peter and St Paul was built around 1890. It is a low wall made of flint with a stone coping, although the original railings that topped the wall are now missing. This wall forms the boundary on three sides of the churchyard, along Church Street, High Street, and Tucker Street. There are three pairs of octagonal stone gate piers located to the south and west of the churchyard. These piers have panelled sides and ogee-shaped caps with pinnacles, though one pinnacle is missing from a pier. The churchyard boundary wall, along with the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, the war memorial, and the monument to J H Earle, create a cohesive group.
