Description

No 1 Jetty Street, which includes No 11 High Street, is an early 19th-century building constructed of painted brick. It features a new interlocking tile roof with a hipped end and stands three storeys tall. The Jetty Street elevation has four windows, which are sashes with glazing bars, although some are blind. On the right side of the first floor, there is a splayed bay of sashes with glazing bars. The second floor on the left has an early 20th-century oriel window, while the ground floor has a round-headed doorway with a fielded panel door and two small modern shop windows. The right-hand side has a sash with glazing bars, and the left side has a modern glazed door. The building has a wedge shape, with the south end elevation featuring a three-storeyed bow window; the first floor has original sashes with glazing bars, the second floor has later sashes without glazing bars, and the ground floor has a modern bow window. The High Street elevation is mostly a blank wall, with one window on the left side that has sashes and glazing bars, and a modern shop front also on the left side. All listed buildings in High Street are part of a group with those in Jetty Street, Jetty Cliff, and West Cliff.
