Description

Kandahar Flats is an early 19th-century building located on West Cliff. It features a stuccoed exterior and a hipped roof. The structure has three storeys, with the top storey added later and slightly projecting, adorned with a moulded bressumer. The facade includes five windows. The ground and first floors have five two-storeyed bay windows with curved sides, each fitted with sash windows that have glazing bars. To the right of the centre, there is a glazed and panelled door topped by a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars, while a modern French window is situated to the left. The later 19th-century second floor consists of four sash windows and a canted bay window, all without glazing bars. Kandahar Flats is part of a group of listed buildings in West Cliff, which includes all listed buildings in Jetty Street, Jetty Cliff, and West Cliff.
